#1 Pilot: Aired Tuesday, September 22, 1998

The Hughleys are getting settled into their beautiful new home in the Los Angeles suburbs, but Darryl keeps seeing racism where there is none and lets his friend Milsap scare him into thinking that he's on the "slippery slope" to losing his blackness. The last straw is when his daughter pics out a white doll over a black doll in a toy store, and Darryl strikes out at his friendly white neighbors much to Yvonne's dismay.
